A new-Chinese tea table from the Zhonghao Kaiyuan collection. Solid golden teak throughout, accented with brass fittings and brass hardware, joined with traditional mortise-and-tenon construction. The long rectangular top seats several people for tea or conversation.
Description
Part of the Zhonghao Kaiyuan collection, this tea table takes a restrained new-Chinese approach. The profile is quiet: a long, level rectangular top over a trestle base that keeps the visual weight low, so the piece anchors a tea room or living area without competing with everything around it.
The body is solid golden teak, used generously, which makes the wood itself the main visual event. A lacquered finish preserves the grain, and the tone shifts noticeably across the surface as the light changes through the day. Brass fittings and brass hardware appear at key points, a common device in new-Chinese furniture and a useful one here — the cool metal reads clearly against the warm wood.
Joinery is traditional mortise-and-tenon, so the connections rely on the wood rather than on exposed hardware. Fit and seam work are where the craftsmanship shows.

Where does your furniture come from?
We select furniture directly from partner showrooms in Foshan, alongside surplus and end-of-season opportunities from established lines. We do not hide where the value comes from: we look for pieces that can stand up to showroom presentation, buy directly, and pass the saving on.
What's the quality like?
A showroom is an unforgiving place to judge furniture: colour in daylight, joinery, upholstery, scale and finish are all visible up close. That is the standard we use when selecting: the piece has to be good enough to be presented on a showroom floor, not merely cheap enough to sell.
Is there anything I should know before ordering?
Two things we'd rather you know up front, so there are no surprises on delivery:
- Much of our inventory is surplus stock. We do not present it as anything else, but surplus is not the same as poor quality. We disclose the actual condition of each piece before sale.
- Some pieces may be showroom samples with light handling marks. We inspect every piece before shipping and send you video of the actual goods to approve.
- Some designs are quite distinctive and won't suit everyone. That's a matter of taste rather than quality. If you're unsure, ask us and we'll send you actual photos and details.
Is everything in stock? Can it ship immediately?
Yes — the vast majority is in stock and ready to ship right away. In the rare case our system is out of date and an item has sold, we tell you immediately and help you switch to another piece or get a refund.
What is the minimum order and how is freight calculated?
The minimum order value is $5,000 per shipment. Below that you can still order — we hold the goods and ship them together once your combined orders reach the minimum. We ship by the container, so mixing items cuts your freight cost significantly.
