A corner bookcase and desk set from the English Cottage series, built entirely in solid wood. North American FAS-grade hardwood primary with imported oak secondary, traditional mortise-and-tenon joinery, natural plant-based wood wax oil finish. The desk is also available on its own.
Description
From the English Cottage series, this set takes its cues from the restrained lines of an English cloister. The white waxed finish lets the grain read through rather than covering it up — the kind of piece that settles into a study and stays there.
The build is 100% solid wood. The primary wood is North American FAS-grade hardwood, matched with imported oak as the secondary; both keep their natural grain. Joints are cut in the traditional mortise-and-tenon method, so there is little exposed hardware breaking the surface. The finish is a natural plant-based wood wax oil, zero formaldehyde, with a soft hand and no glossy sheen.
The corner bookcase runs along the wall angle that usually goes unused, turning it into full-height storage. The attachable desk extends from it to create a working and writing surface, so reaching for a book, sitting down and starting work all happen in one movement. Suited to a home office, a dedicated work corner, or any room that needs a quiet place to write. If you already have shelving, the desk can be ordered alone.

Return & damage policy
- All sales are final. These are direct-showroom goods priced accordingly, so we cannot accept returns or refunds for change of mind, wrong size, colour variance or fit.
- If something arrives damaged, tell us within 14 days of delivery with photos or video, and we will refund the damaged portion.
- We will not ask you to ship the furniture back — return freight on large items usually costs more than the piece itself.
- Flaws already shown in the pre-shipment video and approved by you are not covered.

Frequently asked questions
Where does your furniture come from?
We select furniture directly from partner showrooms in Foshan, alongside surplus and end-of-season opportunities from established lines. We do not hide where the value comes from: we look for pieces that can stand up to showroom presentation, buy directly, and pass the saving on.
What's the quality like?
A showroom is an unforgiving place to judge furniture: colour in daylight, joinery, upholstery, scale and finish are all visible up close. That is the standard we use when selecting: the piece has to be good enough to be presented on a showroom floor, not merely cheap enough to sell.
Is there anything I should know before ordering?
Two things we'd rather you know up front, so there are no surprises on delivery:
- Much of our inventory is surplus stock. We do not present it as anything else, but surplus is not the same as poor quality. We disclose the actual condition of each piece before sale.
- Some pieces may be showroom samples with light handling marks. We inspect every piece before shipping and send you video of the actual goods to approve.
- Some designs are quite distinctive and won't suit everyone. That's a matter of taste rather than quality. If you're unsure, ask us and we'll send you actual photos and details.
Is everything in stock? Can it ship immediately?
Yes — the vast majority is in stock and ready to ship right away. In the rare case our system is out of date and an item has sold, we tell you immediately and help you switch to another piece or get a refund.
What is the minimum order and how is freight calculated?
The minimum order value is $5,000 per shipment. Below that you can still order — we hold the goods and ship them together once your combined orders reach the minimum. We ship by the container, so mixing items cuts your freight cost significantly.
How does inspection before shipping work?
