Description
The Martin bookcase takes its cues from American country furniture. The case is built mainly from solid Thai rubberwood, with solid wood plywood panels used for shelves and back sections to keep the structure steady. The surface is finished in Dabaoo antique black and distressed by hand — knife marks, tool dents and wormholes leave the paint and grain uneven on purpose. That worn-in look is the intended finish, not damage.
The top crown molding follows an American classical profile and detaches, so the case can sit flush against a narrower wall. Open shelving keeps everyday use simple: books, ceramics and woven baskets all go up without a door in the way. It works as a reading-room bookcase, a display wall in the living room, or the end of a hallway that needs weight and depth.
Multiple units in the same series are made to line up, so you can build one continuous shelf wall as your collection grows. The knock-down build also makes the case easier to carry in and get through tight stairwells and doorways.

Where does your furniture come from?
We select furniture directly from partner showrooms in Foshan, alongside surplus and end-of-season opportunities from established lines. We do not hide where the value comes from: we look for pieces that can stand up to showroom presentation, buy directly, and pass the saving on.
What's the quality like?
A showroom is an unforgiving place to judge furniture: colour in daylight, joinery, upholstery, scale and finish are all visible up close. That is the standard we use when selecting: the piece has to be good enough to be presented on a showroom floor, not merely cheap enough to sell.
Is there anything I should know before ordering?
Two things we'd rather you know up front, so there are no surprises on delivery:
- Much of our inventory is surplus stock. We do not present it as anything else, but surplus is not the same as poor quality. We disclose the actual condition of each piece before sale.
- Some pieces may be showroom samples with light handling marks. We inspect every piece before shipping and send you video of the actual goods to approve.
- Some designs are quite distinctive and won't suit everyone. That's a matter of taste rather than quality. If you're unsure, ask us and we'll send you actual photos and details.
Is everything in stock? Can it ship immediately?
Yes — the vast majority is in stock and ready to ship right away. In the rare case our system is out of date and an item has sold, we tell you immediately and help you switch to another piece or get a refund.
What is the minimum order and how is freight calculated?
The minimum order value is $5,000 per shipment. Below that you can still order — we hold the goods and ship them together once your combined orders reach the minimum. We ship by the container, so mixing items cuts your freight cost significantly.
