Description
The Louis XVI Alexander cabinet takes its proportions and ornament from French classical furniture. Carved solid brass trim frames the front, its cooler metal tone set against the warm wood, and the layout stays symmetrical and restrained rather than heavily carved — so the piece holds its own in a living room or dining room without competing with everything around it.
The body is built in solid mahogany and finished in piano lacquer, applied to a smooth, even surface. The wood reads as a deep reddish brown, warm and substantial, and sits comfortably with dark floors, off-white walls or vintage upholstery. Drawers and doors run on soft-close slides: the pull feels solid, and the last stretch closes itself, which matters when you are reaching for something after everyone else has gone to bed.
It is genuinely multi-purpose. Against the main living room wall it serves as a TV console; along a dining room wall it becomes a sideboard for serveware and bottles; in a hallway it works as a low storage cabinet. Where does your furniture come from?
We select furniture directly from partner showrooms in Foshan, alongside surplus and end-of-season opportunities from established lines. We do not hide where the value comes from: we look for pieces that can stand up to showroom presentation, buy directly, and pass the saving on.
What's the quality like?
A showroom is an unforgiving place to judge furniture: colour in daylight, joinery, upholstery, scale and finish are all visible up close. That is the standard we use when selecting: the piece has to be good enough to be presented on a showroom floor, not merely cheap enough to sell.
Is there anything I should know before ordering?
Two things we'd rather you know up front, so there are no surprises on delivery:
- Much of our inventory is surplus stock. We do not present it as anything else, but surplus is not the same as poor quality. We disclose the actual condition of each piece before sale.
- Some pieces may be showroom samples with light handling marks. We inspect every piece before shipping and send you video of the actual goods to approve.
- Some designs are quite distinctive and won't suit everyone. That's a matter of taste rather than quality. If you're unsure, ask us and we'll send you actual photos and details.
Is everything in stock? Can it ship immediately?
Yes — the vast majority is in stock and ready to ship right away. In the rare case our system is out of date and an item has sold, we tell you immediately and help you switch to another piece or get a refund.
What is the minimum order and how is freight calculated?
The minimum order value is $5,000 per shipment. Below that you can still order — we hold the goods and ship them together once your combined orders reach the minimum. We ship by the container, so mixing items cuts your freight cost significantly.
