A classic American sideboard from Kuangdi, built with a solid Russian birch case, frame, and legs and finished with a smooth lacquer that leaves the grain visible. The rectangular, freestanding body sits against a wall without anchoring, and works either as a dining-room buffet or as an entryway cabinet.
Description
Kuangdi's take on the American sideboard is deliberately plain: a rectangular body with clean lines, straight edges, and no applied ornament, relying on proportion and mass instead of decoration. The solid wood legs lift the cabinet off the floor, which keeps the silhouette from reading heavy and makes the floor underneath easy to sweep.
The case, the frame, and the legs are all solid Russian birch, a hardwood with a fine, close grain and a warm tone. The lacquered finish leaves the grain visible while giving the surface a flat, smooth feel that wipes clean. Because it is solid wood rather than a veneer, the cabinet carries a real weight and sits steady on the floor.
Use it as a dining sideboard to gather tableware, glassware, linens, and the small things that otherwise collect on the table. Or set it in an entryway as a landing cabinet: the top takes a tray for keys and a spot for a vase or a lamp. It is freestanding, so it goes against the wall without being fastened. - We will not ask you to ship the furniture back — return freight on large items usually costs more than the piece itself.

Frequently asked questions
Where does your furniture come from?
We select furniture directly from partner showrooms in Foshan, alongside surplus and end-of-season opportunities from established lines. We do not hide where the value comes from: we look for pieces that can stand up to showroom presentation, buy directly, and pass the saving on.
What's the quality like?
A showroom is an unforgiving place to judge furniture: colour in daylight, joinery, upholstery, scale and finish are all visible up close. That is the standard we use when selecting: the piece has to be good enough to be presented on a showroom floor, not merely cheap enough to sell.
Is there anything I should know before ordering?
Two things we'd rather you know up front, so there are no surprises on delivery:
- Much of our inventory is surplus stock. We do not present it as anything else, but surplus is not the same as poor quality. We disclose the actual condition of each piece before sale.
- Some pieces may be showroom samples with light handling marks. We inspect every piece before shipping and send you video of the actual goods to approve.
- Some designs are quite distinctive and won't suit everyone. That's a matter of taste rather than quality. If you're unsure, ask us and we'll send you actual photos and details.
Is everything in stock? Can it ship immediately?
Yes — the vast majority is in stock and ready to ship right away. In the rare case our system is out of date and an item has sold, we tell you immediately and help you switch to another piece or get a refund.
What is the minimum order and how is freight calculated?
The minimum order value is $5,000 per shipment. Below that you can still order — we hold the goods and ship them together once your combined orders reach the minimum. We ship by the container, so mixing items cuts your freight cost significantly.
