The Kartell Lau armchair is molded in a single piece of smoke-grey transparent polycarbonate — seat, back, arms and legs with no joints or seams. A glossy finish gives the material depth in changing light, while the solid back and arms keep the seated position supported. Made for dining tables, and equally at home at a desk.
Description
The Lau chair carries forward Kartell's commitment to single-piece molding: the entire chair is injected as one form, so the seat, back, arms and legs meet without joints or seams. Seen from the side, the profile reads as one continuous line rather than an assembly of parts.
The smoke-grey transparent polycarbonate is finished with a gloss, so light passing through it shifts in tone and the chair stays visually light next to a dining table. Arms and a solid back give the seated position clear boundaries and somewhere to rest your forearms.
That lightness makes it a practical choice for smaller dining rooms and open-plan kitchens, and it holds up on its own as a desk chair or a seat in a meeting corner. The shape is restrained rather than decorative, which lets it sit comfortably alongside modern and minimal interiors.

- We will not ask you to ship the furniture back — return freight on large items usually costs more than the piece itself.
- Flaws already shown in the pre-shipment video and approved by you are not covered.

Frequently asked questions
Where does your furniture come from?
We select furniture directly from partner showrooms in Foshan, alongside surplus and end-of-season opportunities from established lines. We do not hide where the value comes from: we look for pieces that can stand up to showroom presentation, buy directly, and pass the saving on.
What's the quality like?
A showroom is an unforgiving place to judge furniture: colour in daylight, joinery, upholstery, scale and finish are all visible up close. That is the standard we use when selecting: the piece has to be good enough to be presented on a showroom floor, not merely cheap enough to sell.
Is there anything I should know before ordering?
Two things we'd rather you know up front, so there are no surprises on delivery:
- Much of our inventory is surplus stock. We do not present it as anything else, but surplus is not the same as poor quality. We disclose the actual condition of each piece before sale.
- Some pieces may be showroom samples with light handling marks. We inspect every piece before shipping and send you video of the actual goods to approve.
- Some designs are quite distinctive and won't suit everyone. That's a matter of taste rather than quality. If you're unsure, ask us and we'll send you actual photos and details.
Is everything in stock? Can it ship immediately?
Yes — the vast majority is in stock and ready to ship right away. In the rare case our system is out of date and an item has sold, we tell you immediately and help you switch to another piece or get a refund.
What is the minimum order and how is freight calculated?
The minimum order value is $5,000 per shipment. Below that you can still order — we hold the goods and ship them together once your combined orders reach the minimum. We ship by the container, so mixing items cuts your freight cost significantly.
How does inspection before shipping work?
