Description
Part of Dong Sheng's Yueji collection, this armchair takes a restrained approach to the new Chinese style. There is no carving to carry the look — the character comes from proportion instead: the arm tapers into the backrest, the lines stay continuous, and the whole piece reads calm rather than heavy.
Every structural part is solid wujinmu wood, including the frame, legs, seat and back slats. Nothing is veneered and nothing is upholstered. The deep red-brown lacquered finish leaves the grain direction visible, which makes the chair easy to pair with other solid wood pieces in a living room or study.
The slatted back is the practical detail. Instead of a padded panel, individual slats let air move behind you and hold the spine a little more upright — a good fit for a desk, a reading corner or anywhere you sit to concentrate. Arms give your elbows somewhere to rest and take some effort out of getting up.
The chair is built as one fixed piece with no folding hardware, so it stays planted where you put it. Use it beside a low tea table, at a writing desk, in a home office, or as a single accent seat in a bedroom or sunroom.

- If something arrives damaged, tell us within 14 days of delivery with photos or video, and we will refund the damaged portion.
- We will not ask you to ship the furniture back — return freight on large items usually costs more than the piece itself.
- Flaws already shown in the pre-shipment video and approved by you are not covered.

Frequently asked questions
Where does your furniture come from?
We select furniture directly from partner showrooms in Foshan, alongside surplus and end-of-season opportunities from established lines. We do not hide where the value comes from: we look for pieces that can stand up to showroom presentation, buy directly, and pass the saving on.
What's the quality like?
A showroom is an unforgiving place to judge furniture: colour in daylight, joinery, upholstery, scale and finish are all visible up close. That is the standard we use when selecting: the piece has to be good enough to be presented on a showroom floor, not merely cheap enough to sell.
Is there anything I should know before ordering?
Two things we'd rather you know up front, so there are no surprises on delivery:
- Much of our inventory is surplus stock. We do not present it as anything else, but surplus is not the same as poor quality. We disclose the actual condition of each piece before sale.
- Some pieces may be showroom samples with light handling marks. We inspect every piece before shipping and send you video of the actual goods to approve.
- Some designs are quite distinctive and won't suit everyone. That's a matter of taste rather than quality. If you're unsure, ask us and we'll send you actual photos and details.
Is everything in stock? Can it ship immediately?
Yes — the vast majority is in stock and ready to ship right away. In the rare case our system is out of date and an item has sold, we tell you immediately and help you switch to another piece or get a refund.
What is the minimum order and how is freight calculated?
The minimum order value is $5,000 per shipment. Below that you can still order — we hold the goods and ship them together once your combined orders reach the minimum. We ship by the container, so mixing items cuts your freight cost significantly.
