A wabi-sabi display cabinet built in solid white oak with a solid wood plywood back panel and a hand-applied distressed whitewashed finish. Description
This cabinet sits where American country meets wabi-sabi. The whitewashed finish is not an even coat of white — hand brushing leaves it lighter in some places and worn in others, as if years of light and use had done the work. It settles into a room without demanding attention.
The body is solid white oak with visible grain, and the back panel is solid wood plywood. The frame is solid wood, and the distressing is done by hand. Because the timber itself varies in grain and tone, and because the finish is applied by hand, no two pieces look exactly alike. That variation is part of the finish, not a flaw.
The cabinet is rectangular and freestanding, so it does not need to be anchored to a wall. Use it in a living room for objects, books or glassware, or in a dining room or study where you need display space that also stores. The faded white tone is warm and neutral enough to sit comfortably alongside wood furniture, linen and ceramics.

Where does your furniture come from?
We select furniture directly from partner showrooms in Foshan, alongside surplus and end-of-season opportunities from established lines. We do not hide where the value comes from: we look for pieces that can stand up to showroom presentation, buy directly, and pass the saving on.
What's the quality like?
A showroom is an unforgiving place to judge furniture: colour in daylight, joinery, upholstery, scale and finish are all visible up close. That is the standard we use when selecting: the piece has to be good enough to be presented on a showroom floor, not merely cheap enough to sell.
Is there anything I should know before ordering?
Two things we'd rather you know up front, so there are no surprises on delivery:
- Much of our inventory is surplus stock. We do not present it as anything else, but surplus is not the same as poor quality. We disclose the actual condition of each piece before sale.
- Some pieces may be showroom samples with light handling marks. We inspect every piece before shipping and send you video of the actual goods to approve.
- Some designs are quite distinctive and won't suit everyone. That's a matter of taste rather than quality. If you're unsure, ask us and we'll send you actual photos and details.
Is everything in stock? Can it ship immediately?
Yes — the vast majority is in stock and ready to ship right away. In the rare case our system is out of date and an item has sold, we tell you immediately and help you switch to another piece or get a refund.
What is the minimum order and how is freight calculated?
The minimum order value is $5,000 per shipment. Below that you can still order — we hold the goods and ship them together once your combined orders reach the minimum. We ship by the container, so mixing items cuts your freight cost significantly.
