Description
The Bally William 1837 Series seven-drawer sideboard is an imported, out-of-production piece in the British antique furniture tradition. The silhouette stays restrained: a straight case, evenly divided drawers and carving held to the edges and details rather than the whole face. In a dining room it reads as a quiet background piece rather than a statement.
It is made entirely of solid wood, with Indonesian mahogany hardwood as the primary material — case, frame and legs alike. The surface carries a distressed finish, so variation in tone across the panels is part of the treatment, not a flaw. Carving is done by hand, and brass hardware at the pulls and fittings sets a warm metal against the dark brown wood. Every cabinet carries the product number A2004 etched on the back.
Storage is the point: seven drawers keep flatware, table linens, bottle openers and everyday serving items separated and within reach, while the top surface holds platters, bottles or a lamp between meals. It stands freestanding, which makes it as useful against a dining room wall or beside an open kitchen as it is in a living room as a side cabinet.

Frequently asked questions
Where does your furniture come from?
We select furniture directly from partner showrooms in Foshan, alongside surplus and end-of-season opportunities from established lines. We do not hide where the value comes from: we look for pieces that can stand up to showroom presentation, buy directly, and pass the saving on.
What's the quality like?
A showroom is an unforgiving place to judge furniture: colour in daylight, joinery, upholstery, scale and finish are all visible up close. That is the standard we use when selecting: the piece has to be good enough to be presented on a showroom floor, not merely cheap enough to sell.
Is there anything I should know before ordering?
Two things we'd rather you know up front, so there are no surprises on delivery:
- Much of our inventory is surplus stock. We do not present it as anything else, but surplus is not the same as poor quality. We disclose the actual condition of each piece before sale.
- Some pieces may be showroom samples with light handling marks. We inspect every piece before shipping and send you video of the actual goods to approve.
- Some designs are quite distinctive and won't suit everyone. That's a matter of taste rather than quality. If you're unsure, ask us and we'll send you actual photos and details.
Is everything in stock? Can it ship immediately?
Yes — the vast majority is in stock and ready to ship right away. In the rare case our system is out of date and an item has sold, we tell you immediately and help you switch to another piece or get a refund.
What is the minimum order and how is freight calculated?
The minimum order value is $5,000 per shipment. Below that you can still order — we hold the goods and ship them together once your combined orders reach the minimum. We ship by the container, so mixing items cuts your freight cost significantly.
How does inspection before shipping work?
Every piece is inspected on video before it leaves the warehouse, and we send you the footage to approve — only after you confirm do we load the container. We check appearance, structure, hardware and that all parts are present.
Can I return an item?
All sales are final for subjective reasons (change of mind, wrong size, colour variance, how it looks in place) — these are direct-showroom goods priced accordingly. If something arrives damaged, tell us within 14 days with photos or video and we refund the damaged portion; we will not ask you to ship furniture back. Flaws already shown in the pre-shipment video and approved by you are not covered.
