An imported antique dining chair from Bally William 1837, built entirely from solid Indonesian mahogany with hand-carved detailing and brass fittings. The distressed finish, cotton-linen upholstered seat and slatted wood back are available in arm and armless versions.
Description
This dining chair comes from the antique furniture line of the British brand Bally William 1837 and is imported from the UK. The chair is made entirely of solid wood — frame, legs and back — in Indonesian mahogany hardwood, with the close grain and tonal variation that come with the species.
The carving is done by hand: the curves and motifs on the back and legs are cut by hand rather than pressed, and the piece is accented with brass fittings. A distressed antique finish gives it the deep red-brown tone of old wood. The seat is upholstered in cotton linen, and the back is built from solid wood slats, so it stays breathable and comfortable over a long dinner. Each chair is etched on the back with its product number, A2004.
Two versions are available: with arms, which works well as a dining or desk chair, and without arms, which is more compact and slides easily under a table. The red-brown tone and aged grain suit vintage, American, country and eclectic interiors — dining rooms, studies and guesthouses alike.

- We will not ask you to ship the furniture back — return freight on large items usually costs more than the piece itself.

Where does your furniture come from?
We select furniture directly from partner showrooms in Foshan, alongside surplus and end-of-season opportunities from established lines. We do not hide where the value comes from: we look for pieces that can stand up to showroom presentation, buy directly, and pass the saving on.
What's the quality like?
A showroom is an unforgiving place to judge furniture: colour in daylight, joinery, upholstery, scale and finish are all visible up close. That is the standard we use when selecting: the piece has to be good enough to be presented on a showroom floor, not merely cheap enough to sell.
Is there anything I should know before ordering?
Two things we'd rather you know up front, so there are no surprises on delivery:
- Much of our inventory is surplus stock. We do not present it as anything else, but surplus is not the same as poor quality. We disclose the actual condition of each piece before sale.
- Some pieces may be showroom samples with light handling marks. We inspect every piece before shipping and send you video of the actual goods to approve.
- Some designs are quite distinctive and won't suit everyone. That's a matter of taste rather than quality. If you're unsure, ask us and we'll send you actual photos and details.
Is everything in stock? Can it ship immediately?
Yes — the vast majority is in stock and ready to ship right away. In the rare case our system is out of date and an item has sold, we tell you immediately and help you switch to another piece or get a refund.
What is the minimum order and how is freight calculated?
The minimum order value is $5,000 per shipment. Below that you can still order — we hold the goods and ship them together once your combined orders reach the minimum. We ship by the container, so mixing items cuts your freight cost significantly.
