Shipping furniture from Foshan to the United States

Most of our US orders leave as LCL consolidation or a full 40HQ. We load in Foshan, film the loading, and hand your broker a clean document set — the container routing depends on whether your warehouse is on the West Coast, the East Coast or the Gulf.

Direct answer

Can I ship furniture from Foshan to the United States without a full container?

Yes. We consolidate LCL shipments with other cargo and ship to Los Angeles / Long Beach, New York / Newark, Savannah or Houston. You only need to meet the $5,000 shipping minimum — not a full container — and we film the loading before the container closes.

Ports
Los Angeles / Long Beach, New York / Newark, Savannah, Houston
Transit
Roughly 30–40 days door to door; LCL typically runs 5–10 days longer than a full container.
Duty / tax
No federal VAT. US import duty depends on the HTS code and the current trade measures on Chinese-origin goods — your broker confirms the rate line by line.

Which coast the container lands on

West Coast warehouses usually route through Los Angeles / Long Beach; East Coast and Midwest buyers often use New York / Newark or Savannah, and Gulf buyers Houston. The choice changes both the ocean freight and the inland leg, so it is worth deciding before we book rather than after.

LCL or a full container

Below roughly 15 cubic metres, LCL is usually the cheaper route even with deconsolidation fees. Above that, a 20GP or 40HQ starts to win on cost per cubic metre. A 40HQ holds about 65–68 cubic metres, and we consolidate your order until it is full.

The document set your broker needs

Commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading and the ISPM 15 mark on wood packaging. We photograph the loading and send the exact carton count and weights with the documents, which is what customs and your receiving warehouse will ask for.

Frequently asked questions

Do you ship LCL to the United States?

Yes. We consolidate LCL cargo to Los Angeles / Long Beach, New York / Newark, Savannah and Houston. The $5,000 shipping minimum applies; below that we hold the order and consolidate it with your next purchase.

Who handles US customs clearance?

Your importer of record or customs broker clears the shipment. We provide the commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading and ISPM 15 documentation, and answer classification questions about the goods themselves.

How long does it take?

Plan on roughly 30–40 days door to door, with LCL usually 5–10 days longer than FCL. Schedules move with vessel rotations and port congestion, so we confirm dates against the actual booking.

Duty, tax and transit figures here are indicative only. The rate that applies to your shipment depends on the HS code, the current trade measures in force on the day of import, and your customs broker. We quote freight against the actual container and destination port.
