Description
New Chinese furniture is about restraint and proportion more than ornament. This tea table keeps the top flat and the edge narrow: it holds its presence through its dimensions, not through carving. The whole piece is solid zebrano wood — top, frame and legs the same material — in a deep brown tone with clearly readable grain, so it sits quietly against pale walls or raw concrete floors.
The rectangular top leaves room for a full tea setup, with space left over for a pitcher and a plate of snacks. The included green sandalwood stone tray adds a cool, coarse counterpoint to the warm wood: leave it in place for wet brewing and the water and tea stay on the stone; lift it out for dry brewing and the surface returns to one continuous expanse of wood.
Because the legs and frame are the same solid wood, there is no seam where unlike materials meet. Legs sit at the four corners, leaving clear space underneath to sit and reach across. Where does your furniture come from?
We select furniture directly from partner showrooms in Foshan, alongside surplus and end-of-season opportunities from established lines. We do not hide where the value comes from: we look for pieces that can stand up to showroom presentation, buy directly, and pass the saving on.
What's the quality like?
A showroom is an unforgiving place to judge furniture: colour in daylight, joinery, upholstery, scale and finish are all visible up close. That is the standard we use when selecting: the piece has to be good enough to be presented on a showroom floor, not merely cheap enough to sell.
Is there anything I should know before ordering?
Two things we'd rather you know up front, so there are no surprises on delivery:
- Much of our inventory is surplus stock. We do not present it as anything else, but surplus is not the same as poor quality. We disclose the actual condition of each piece before sale.
- Some pieces may be showroom samples with light handling marks. We inspect every piece before shipping and send you video of the actual goods to approve.
- Some designs are quite distinctive and won't suit everyone. That's a matter of taste rather than quality. If you're unsure, ask us and we'll send you actual photos and details.
Is everything in stock? Can it ship immediately?
Yes — the vast majority is in stock and ready to ship right away. In the rare case our system is out of date and an item has sold, we tell you immediately and help you switch to another piece or get a refund.
What is the minimum order and how is freight calculated?
The minimum order value is $5,000 per shipment. Below that you can still order — we hold the goods and ship them together once your combined orders reach the minimum. We ship by the container, so mixing items cuts your freight cost significantly.
