Description

The SCHIRRULIVING armchair is made in Italy in the American style: high back, straight arms, and a profile that carries a room by proportion rather than ornament.

The frame and legs are solid wood, finished with a glossy surface that shifts between warm and dark brown as light moves across it. Seat and back are hand-carved, then wrapped in velvet, so the soft pile sits against a hard wood shell and the back gets real support when you lean into it. Because each chair is handcrafted, grain and carving details vary slightly from piece to piece. An original brass badge is mounted on the chair.

It reads well in a study as a desk chair, in a living room as a reading or accent chair, and at a dining table as an armchair. The weight of the design suits rooms with solid wood floors, leather sofas and dark cabinetry, and a single chair placed on its own tends to hold the eye.

Frequently asked questions

Where does your furniture come from?

We select furniture directly from partner showrooms in Foshan, alongside surplus and end-of-season opportunities from established lines. We do not hide where the value comes from: we look for pieces that can stand up to showroom presentation, buy directly, and pass the saving on.

What's the quality like?

A showroom is an unforgiving place to judge furniture: colour in daylight, joinery, upholstery, scale and finish are all visible up close. That is the standard we use when selecting: the piece has to be good enough to be presented on a showroom floor, not merely cheap enough to sell.

Is there anything I should know before ordering?

Two things we'd rather you know up front, so there are no surprises on delivery:

  • Much of our inventory is surplus stock. We do not present it as anything else, but surplus is not the same as poor quality. We disclose the actual condition of each piece before sale.
  • Some pieces may be showroom samples with light handling marks. We inspect every piece before shipping and send you video of the actual goods to approve.
  • Some designs are quite distinctive and won't suit everyone. That's a matter of taste rather than quality. If you're unsure, ask us and we'll send you actual photos and details.

Is everything in stock? Can it ship immediately?

Yes — the vast majority is in stock and ready to ship right away. In the rare case our system is out of date and an item has sold, we tell you immediately and help you switch to another piece or get a refund.

What is the minimum order and how is freight calculated?

The minimum order value is $5,000 per shipment. Below that you can still order — we hold the goods and ship them together once your combined orders reach the minimum. We ship by the container, so mixing items cuts your freight cost significantly.

How does inspection before shipping work?

Can I return an item?
