The Blue Movement lounge chair by Phoenix Meiju pairs a hand-carved solid wood frame with peacock blue distressed lacquer and cotton-linen upholstery finished with hand embroidery, tufting and nailhead trim.
Description
The Blue Movement is a single-seat lounge chair from Phoenix Meiju, drawn from the American Rococo tradition. Its oval silhouette, high back and arms give the sitter support at the back and forearms, making it a natural reading chair for a living room corner or study.
The frame and legs are solid wood, shaped by hand carving, which gives the profile a pronounced rise and fall. The surface is finished in a peacock blue multi-layer distressed lacquer with hand-painted motifs, accented by 24K gold gilding in a crackle finish and gold outlining. The color reads deep and layered rather than bright.
Upholstery is cotton-linen, with fabric on both seat and back. Hand tufting creates an even field of recessed buttons, hand embroidery runs across the back, and nailhead trim closes the edges. Pillows are not included and can be matched in a tonal or neutral shade.
This model has been discontinued by the maker, and stock is limited. It suits buyers drawn to classical American styling and hand-finished detail.

Where does your furniture come from?
We select furniture directly from partner showrooms in Foshan, alongside surplus and end-of-season opportunities from established lines. We do not hide where the value comes from: we look for pieces that can stand up to showroom presentation, buy directly, and pass the saving on.
What's the quality like?
A showroom is an unforgiving place to judge furniture: colour in daylight, joinery, upholstery, scale and finish are all visible up close. That is the standard we use when selecting: the piece has to be good enough to be presented on a showroom floor, not merely cheap enough to sell.
Is there anything I should know before ordering?
Two things we'd rather you know up front, so there are no surprises on delivery:
- Much of our inventory is surplus stock. We do not present it as anything else, but surplus is not the same as poor quality. We disclose the actual condition of each piece before sale.
- Some pieces may be showroom samples with light handling marks. We inspect every piece before shipping and send you video of the actual goods to approve.
- Some designs are quite distinctive and won't suit everyone. That's a matter of taste rather than quality. If you're unsure, ask us and we'll send you actual photos and details.
Is everything in stock? Can it ship immediately?
Yes — the vast majority is in stock and ready to ship right away. In the rare case our system is out of date and an item has sold, we tell you immediately and help you switch to another piece or get a refund.
What is the minimum order and how is freight calculated?
The minimum order value is $5,000 per shipment. Below that you can still order — we hold the goods and ship them together once your combined orders reach the minimum. We ship by the container, so mixing items cuts your freight cost significantly.
