A solid rubberwood dining chair in the American style, built entirely from Thai rubberwood — frame, legs, back and seat. The three-tier wave ladder back follows the curve of the spine, and a distressed natural finish keeps the grain visible. Armless and square, it tucks cleanly under the table.
Description
This chair reads as classic American dining furniture: a straightforward square seat, a tapered ladder back and nothing added for decoration. The back is the piece that defines it — three soft wave slats, narrowing as they rise, shaped so they meet the curve of your back rather than sitting flat against it.
The frame, legs, backrest and seat are all solid Thai rubberwood, a dense, close-grained hardwood with a clear figure. The seat is solid wood, so there is no foam or upholstery to compress over years of daily use. The surface carries a distressed finish in a natural tone, with visible variation in the grain and slightly softened edges that sit well next to linen, stoneware and other matte textures.
Because there are no arms, the chair slides completely under the table, which matters in smaller dining rooms where the walkway behind the chairs is tight. A row of them along a long table reads clean rather than crowded. It also works as a desk chair or a spare seat in an entry. The chair ships knocked down, which makes it easier to carry upstairs and around tight corners.

- We will not ask you to ship the furniture back — return freight on large items usually costs more than the piece itself.

Frequently asked questions
Where does your furniture come from?
We select furniture directly from partner showrooms in Foshan, alongside surplus and end-of-season opportunities from established lines. We do not hide where the value comes from: we look for pieces that can stand up to showroom presentation, buy directly, and pass the saving on.
What's the quality like?
A showroom is an unforgiving place to judge furniture: colour in daylight, joinery, upholstery, scale and finish are all visible up close. That is the standard we use when selecting: the piece has to be good enough to be presented on a showroom floor, not merely cheap enough to sell.
Is there anything I should know before ordering?
Two things we'd rather you know up front, so there are no surprises on delivery:
- Much of our inventory is surplus stock. We do not present it as anything else, but surplus is not the same as poor quality. We disclose the actual condition of each piece before sale.
- Some pieces may be showroom samples with light handling marks. We inspect every piece before shipping and send you video of the actual goods to approve.
- Some designs are quite distinctive and won't suit everyone. That's a matter of taste rather than quality. If you're unsure, ask us and we'll send you actual photos and details.
Is everything in stock? Can it ship immediately?
Yes — the vast majority is in stock and ready to ship right away. In the rare case our system is out of date and an item has sold, we tell you immediately and help you switch to another piece or get a refund.
What is the minimum order and how is freight calculated?
The minimum order value is $5,000 per shipment. Below that you can still order — we hold the goods and ship them together once your combined orders reach the minimum. We ship by the container, so mixing items cuts your freight cost significantly.
