Description
This table takes the American-style route of restraint: no applied carving, no ornamental apron. The character comes from the oak itself and from proportions that leave the grain alone. Because the top, frame and legs are all solid oak with a stained finish, the brown tone and grain read continuously from surface to floor, which makes the table easy to place against light upholstery, walnut cabinets or plain painted walls.
The real difference is the mechanism. The extension design lets the table move between two shapes. Closed, it is a long rectangular table that works against a wall or centred in the room without blocking the walkway. Opened, the top extends into a rounded form, so seating turns from two opposing sides into a surrounding arrangement — easier for passing dishes and for conversation across a larger group. One table covers weeknight dinners and holiday gatherings without a second folding table in storage.
Four solid wood legs carry the top and keep the space underneath open, so chairs tuck in without crowding. The matching chairs are solid wood framed and not upholstered, with clean surfaces that wipe down after meals. Where does your furniture come from?
We select furniture directly from partner showrooms in Foshan, alongside surplus and end-of-season opportunities from established lines. We do not hide where the value comes from: we look for pieces that can stand up to showroom presentation, buy directly, and pass the saving on.
What's the quality like?
A showroom is an unforgiving place to judge furniture: colour in daylight, joinery, upholstery, scale and finish are all visible up close. That is the standard we use when selecting: the piece has to be good enough to be presented on a showroom floor, not merely cheap enough to sell.
Is there anything I should know before ordering?
Two things we'd rather you know up front, so there are no surprises on delivery:
- Much of our inventory is surplus stock. We do not present it as anything else, but surplus is not the same as poor quality. We disclose the actual condition of each piece before sale.
- Some pieces may be showroom samples with light handling marks. We inspect every piece before shipping and send you video of the actual goods to approve.
- Some designs are quite distinctive and won't suit everyone. That's a matter of taste rather than quality. If you're unsure, ask us and we'll send you actual photos and details.
Is everything in stock? Can it ship immediately?
Yes — the vast majority is in stock and ready to ship right away. In the rare case our system is out of date and an item has sold, we tell you immediately and help you switch to another piece or get a refund.
What is the minimum order and how is freight calculated?
The minimum order value is $5,000 per shipment. Below that you can still order — we hold the goods and ship them together once your combined orders reach the minimum. We ship by the container, so mixing items cuts your freight cost significantly.
