A new Chinese dining chair from Muzhen, model 901, built entirely in solid wu-jin wood. The high back and armless frame give it an upright, uncluttered profile that slides fully under the table, and the brown wood tone sits comfortably with both dark and light dining tables.
Description
The Muzhen 901 reads as new Chinese rather than revivalist: the back tapers upward, the lines stay fluid and simple, and the ornament is the wood itself rather than carving.
The chair is made entirely of solid wu-jin (zingana) wood, with seat, back, frame and legs in the same material, so the grain carries across the components. The brown tone is on the quieter side — it grounds a dining table without competing with it.
Because the back is high and the frame has no arms, the chair pushes completely under the table, which matters in smaller dining rooms where walkway space is tight. The frame does not fold, which suits it to daily use as a regular dining chair.

Where does your furniture come from?
We select furniture directly from partner showrooms in Foshan, alongside surplus and end-of-season opportunities from established lines. We do not hide where the value comes from: we look for pieces that can stand up to showroom presentation, buy directly, and pass the saving on.
What's the quality like?
A showroom is an unforgiving place to judge furniture: colour in daylight, joinery, upholstery, scale and finish are all visible up close. That is the standard we use when selecting: the piece has to be good enough to be presented on a showroom floor, not merely cheap enough to sell.
Is there anything I should know before ordering?
Two things we'd rather you know up front, so there are no surprises on delivery:
- Much of our inventory is surplus stock. We do not present it as anything else, but surplus is not the same as poor quality. We disclose the actual condition of each piece before sale.
- Some pieces may be showroom samples with light handling marks. We inspect every piece before shipping and send you video of the actual goods to approve.
- Some designs are quite distinctive and won't suit everyone. That's a matter of taste rather than quality. If you're unsure, ask us and we'll send you actual photos and details.
Is everything in stock? Can it ship immediately?
Yes — the vast majority is in stock and ready to ship right away. In the rare case our system is out of date and an item has sold, we tell you immediately and help you switch to another piece or get a refund.
What is the minimum order and how is freight calculated?
The minimum order value is $5,000 per shipment. Below that you can still order — we hold the goods and ship them together once your combined orders reach the minimum. We ship by the container, so mixing items cuts your freight cost significantly.
How does inspection before shipping work?
