A new Chinese-style entryway console from Muzhen, built in solid American red oak and finished in black. The rectangular top sits on four straight legs, so the view stays open underneath — a quiet, low-profile piece for an entry or hallway wall.
Description
The Muzhen 802 takes its cues from new Chinese design, where traditional forms are kept but the ornament is removed. The top and legs are proportioned closely together, and what remains of the traditional vocabulary is the taper and edge line running from the tabletop down through the legs. The silhouette reads clean rather than decorative.
The table is made from solid American red oak, and the wood's cathedral grain is still visible beneath the black finish. The lacquered surface is even in tone and restrained in sheen, so it holds its own against both dark wood flooring and pale painted walls. Four straight legs meet the apron in a simple joint, and because there is no solid panel beneath the top, sightlines pass through — useful in a narrow entry where a heavy block of furniture would close the space in.
The rectangular top is shallow in depth, so when it sits against an entry wall there is still room to move past it, whether you are setting down a bag or changing shoes. The surface is flat and uninterrupted, which makes it practical for keys, mail, a diffuser or a single tray, and it also works at the end of a hallway or along one side of a living room as a quiet focal point.

Where does your furniture come from?
We select furniture directly from partner showrooms in Foshan, alongside surplus and end-of-season opportunities from established lines. We do not hide where the value comes from: we look for pieces that can stand up to showroom presentation, buy directly, and pass the saving on.
What's the quality like?
A showroom is an unforgiving place to judge furniture: colour in daylight, joinery, upholstery, scale and finish are all visible up close. That is the standard we use when selecting: the piece has to be good enough to be presented on a showroom floor, not merely cheap enough to sell.
Is there anything I should know before ordering?
Two things we'd rather you know up front, so there are no surprises on delivery:
- Much of our inventory is surplus stock. We do not present it as anything else, but surplus is not the same as poor quality. We disclose the actual condition of each piece before sale.
- Some pieces may be showroom samples with light handling marks. We inspect every piece before shipping and send you video of the actual goods to approve.
- Some designs are quite distinctive and won't suit everyone. That's a matter of taste rather than quality. If you're unsure, ask us and we'll send you actual photos and details.
Is everything in stock? Can it ship immediately?
Yes — the vast majority is in stock and ready to ship right away. In the rare case our system is out of date and an item has sold, we tell you immediately and help you switch to another piece or get a refund.
What is the minimum order and how is freight calculated?
The minimum order value is $5,000 per shipment. Below that you can still order — we hold the goods and ship them together once your combined orders reach the minimum. We ship by the container, so mixing items cuts your freight cost significantly.
