A new Chinese style folding screen in walnut tone, built with solid African Gabon wujinmu wood, solid copper hardware and a US-sourced Napa leather panel, made to divide a living room without fixing it in place.

Description

The HDXW-08 is a folding screen in the new Chinese style, finished in a walnut tone that reads deep and quiet against pale walls or darker wood furniture. Both the frame and the panels are solid wood, primarily African Gabon wujinmu, with a lacquered surface that is straightforward to keep clean.

Solid copper hardware runs through the piece, its warm tone set against the dark brown of the wood. A section of US-sourced Napa leather softens the otherwise hard wooden construction and adds a point of tactile contrast. Because the screen folds, it works as a divider between a seating area and a walkway in a living room, or as a temporary enclosure in a tea room or study, then folds away when the space needs to stay open.

As a complete set, it sits naturally alongside new Chinese sofas, console tables and horseshoe chairs, where the wood tone and copper details keep the room visually continuous.

Where does your furniture come from?

We select furniture directly from partner showrooms in Foshan, alongside surplus and end-of-season opportunities from established lines. We do not hide where the value comes from: we look for pieces that can stand up to showroom presentation, buy directly, and pass the saving on.

What's the quality like?

A showroom is an unforgiving place to judge furniture: colour in daylight, joinery, upholstery, scale and finish are all visible up close. That is the standard we use when selecting: the piece has to be good enough to be presented on a showroom floor, not merely cheap enough to sell.

Is there anything I should know before ordering?

Two things we'd rather you know up front, so there are no surprises on delivery:

  • Much of our inventory is surplus stock. We do not present it as anything else, but surplus is not the same as poor quality. We disclose the actual condition of each piece before sale.
  • Some pieces may be showroom samples with light handling marks. We inspect every piece before shipping and send you video of the actual goods to approve.
  • Some designs are quite distinctive and won't suit everyone. That's a matter of taste rather than quality. If you're unsure, ask us and we'll send you actual photos and details.

Is everything in stock? Can it ship immediately?

Yes — the vast majority is in stock and ready to ship right away. In the rare case our system is out of date and an item has sold, we tell you immediately and help you switch to another piece or get a refund.

What is the minimum order and how is freight calculated?

The minimum order value is $5,000 per shipment. Below that you can still order — we hold the goods and ship them together once your combined orders reach the minimum. We ship by the container, so mixing items cuts your freight cost significantly.

How does inspection before shipping work?

Every piece is inspected on video before it leaves the warehouse, and we send you the footage to approve — only after you confirm do we load the container. We check appearance, structure, hardware and that all parts are present.

Can I return an item?

All sales are final for subjective reasons (change of mind, wrong size, colour variance, how it looks in place) — these are direct-showroom goods priced accordingly.
