Description
The 3017# bookcase sits squarely in the transitional register: restrained lines, a calm proportion, neither pared-back minimal nor ornate. It reads comfortably alongside both contemporary furniture and more traditional wood pieces. The light gray painted finish softens the visual weight of the oak, which helps in smaller rooms.
The case is solid North American white oak, frame included. The doors are built on a white oak veneer ground with hand-laid mountain-grain marquetry, so the grain direction is matched by hand rather than by machine — no two doors carry the identical pattern. A mother-of-pearl inlay is set into each door front; it stays subtle in flat light and shows its depth at an angle.
Behind the two doors is closed storage for books, catalogues, files and the odds and ends that accumulate around a desk. Because the piece is freestanding, it can stand against a wall on its own and be repositioned later without leaving anchor points behind. It ships disassembled in its original packaging, which makes moving it through doorways and upstairs more manageable.
One thing to note: this unit was photographed as-is, and there is localized yellowing in the paint, visible in the product images. What you see is what ships. Buyers who are particular about the finish should review the photos closely before ordering.

Frequently asked questions
Where does your furniture come from?
We select furniture directly from partner showrooms in Foshan, alongside surplus and end-of-season opportunities from established lines. We do not hide where the value comes from: we look for pieces that can stand up to showroom presentation, buy directly, and pass the saving on.
What's the quality like?
A showroom is an unforgiving place to judge furniture: colour in daylight, joinery, upholstery, scale and finish are all visible up close. That is the standard we use when selecting: the piece has to be good enough to be presented on a showroom floor, not merely cheap enough to sell.
Is there anything I should know before ordering?
Two things we'd rather you know up front, so there are no surprises on delivery:
- Much of our inventory is surplus stock. We do not present it as anything else, but surplus is not the same as poor quality. We disclose the actual condition of each piece before sale.
- Some pieces may be showroom samples with light handling marks. We inspect every piece before shipping and send you video of the actual goods to approve.
- Some designs are quite distinctive and won't suit everyone. That's a matter of taste rather than quality. If you're unsure, ask us and we'll send you actual photos and details.
Is everything in stock? Can it ship immediately?
Yes — the vast majority is in stock and ready to ship right away. In the rare case our system is out of date and an item has sold, we tell you immediately and help you switch to another piece or get a refund.
What is the minimum order and how is freight calculated?
The minimum order value is $5,000 per shipment. Below that you can still order — we hold the goods and ship them together once your combined orders reach the minimum. We ship by the container, so mixing items cuts your freight cost significantly.
How does inspection before shipping work?
Every piece is inspected on video before it leaves the warehouse, and we send you the footage to approve — only after you confirm do we load the container. We check appearance, structure, hardware and that all parts are present.
Can I return an item?
All sales are final for subjective reasons (change of mind, wrong size, colour variance, how it looks in place) — these are direct-showroom goods priced accordingly. If something arrives damaged, tell us within 14 days with photos or video and we refund the damaged portion; we will not ask you to ship furniture back. Flaws already shown in the pre-shipment video and approved by you are not covered.
