The HK side table pairs solid ash with ash veneer, wire-brushed to open the grain and hand-scraped for a reclaimed look. A hand-applied glaze and dust lacquer build the brown finish in layers. Description
Rustic by construction, not by print. The HK side table is built from solid ash with ash veneer, and its brown finish is worked by hand — nothing about it is intended to look machine-even.
The wire-brushed grain treatment opens the wood's pores so the ash grain reads clearly and shifts under light instead of sitting under a flat film. Surfaces are then hand-scraped, leaving tool marks and softly worn edges, and finished with a hand-applied glaze and dust lacquer rubbed back in layers. Because the work is done by hand, depth of color and placement of distressing vary from piece to piece; that variation, along with natural wood grain, is a property of the material and the finish rather than a defect.
A rectangular top sits on tapered solid wood legs. The footprint stays visually light, so it suits a sofa arm, a reading chair, a corner or a bedside, and the top is sized to carry a lamp as a dedicated lamp table. It blends readily with farmhouse, cabin, rustic industrial and wabi-sabi interiors, and reads as an aged accent in a plainer modern room.

- We will not ask you to ship the furniture back — return freight on large items usually costs more than the piece itself.

Frequently asked questions
Where does your furniture come from?
We select furniture directly from partner showrooms in Foshan, alongside surplus and end-of-season opportunities from established lines. We do not hide where the value comes from: we look for pieces that can stand up to showroom presentation, buy directly, and pass the saving on.
What's the quality like?
A showroom is an unforgiving place to judge furniture: colour in daylight, joinery, upholstery, scale and finish are all visible up close. That is the standard we use when selecting: the piece has to be good enough to be presented on a showroom floor, not merely cheap enough to sell.
Is there anything I should know before ordering?
Two things we'd rather you know up front, so there are no surprises on delivery:
- Much of our inventory is surplus stock. We do not present it as anything else, but surplus is not the same as poor quality. We disclose the actual condition of each piece before sale.
- Some pieces may be showroom samples with light handling marks. We inspect every piece before shipping and send you video of the actual goods to approve.
- Some designs are quite distinctive and won't suit everyone. That's a matter of taste rather than quality. If you're unsure, ask us and we'll send you actual photos and details.
Is everything in stock? Can it ship immediately?
Yes — the vast majority is in stock and ready to ship right away. In the rare case our system is out of date and an item has sold, we tell you immediately and help you switch to another piece or get a refund.
What is the minimum order and how is freight calculated?
The minimum order value is $5,000 per shipment. Below that you can still order — we hold the goods and ship them together once your combined orders reach the minimum. We ship by the container, so mixing items cuts your freight cost significantly.
