Description
Part of the Ting collection from Heyan H-Yan, this desk takes a new-Chinese approach: the lines are quiet, ornament is kept to a minimum, and the proportion and wood tone do most of the work. The walnut colour is deep without feeling heavy, so it settles comfortably into a study alongside either traditional or pared-back modern furniture.
The desktop, legs and hutch are all solid wood, specified as small-leaf rosewood, with clearly readable grain and a warm cast. The natural finish leaves the texture of the timber intact instead of burying it under a thick coat. Four straight legs carry the top, and the space beneath stays completely open, so there is nothing to crowd your legs during a long sitting session.
The desk and hutch are made as a set. The hutch sits above the work surface and holds the books, pens and small objects you want within arm's reach, which is what keeps the desktop itself clear. The rectangular top presses neatly against a wall, making it a good fit for a study, a home office corner or a small studio. Where does your furniture come from?
We select furniture directly from partner showrooms in Foshan, alongside surplus and end-of-season opportunities from established lines. We do not hide where the value comes from: we look for pieces that can stand up to showroom presentation, buy directly, and pass the saving on.
What's the quality like?
A showroom is an unforgiving place to judge furniture: colour in daylight, joinery, upholstery, scale and finish are all visible up close. That is the standard we use when selecting: the piece has to be good enough to be presented on a showroom floor, not merely cheap enough to sell.
Is there anything I should know before ordering?
Two things we'd rather you know up front, so there are no surprises on delivery:
- Much of our inventory is surplus stock. We do not present it as anything else, but surplus is not the same as poor quality. We disclose the actual condition of each piece before sale.
- Some pieces may be showroom samples with light handling marks. We inspect every piece before shipping and send you video of the actual goods to approve.
- Some designs are quite distinctive and won't suit everyone. That's a matter of taste rather than quality. If you're unsure, ask us and we'll send you actual photos and details.
Is everything in stock? Can it ship immediately?
Yes — the vast majority is in stock and ready to ship right away. In the rare case our system is out of date and an item has sold, we tell you immediately and help you switch to another piece or get a refund.
What is the minimum order and how is freight calculated?
The minimum order value is $5,000 per shipment. Below that you can still order — we hold the goods and ship them together once your combined orders reach the minimum. We ship by the container, so mixing items cuts your freight cost significantly.
