A hand-painted oil on pure linen, built up in layers of translucent oil color for depth. Set in a solid wood frame with a distressed gold finish and an embossed gold inner fillet, in a blue-and-gold vintage look.

Description

This piece takes a French and European approach. The image is painted by hand in oil on pure linen, with multiple layers of translucent oil color built up so the surface has depth and light rather than the flat look of a print.

The frame is made from solid wood blanks. Its mid-layer carries a gold finish that has been distressed and rubbed back, so the gold reads soft and slightly aged rather than bright. An embossed gold inner fillet sits inside the blue-and-gold vintage frame, giving the border two levels of detail.

Hang it above a sofa, over a dining room sideboard, or at the end of an entryway. It works as a focal point without competing with the furniture around it.

Frequently asked questions

Where does your furniture come from?

We select furniture directly from partner showrooms in Foshan, alongside surplus and end-of-season opportunities from established lines. We do not hide where the value comes from: we look for pieces that can stand up to showroom presentation, buy directly, and pass the saving on.

What's the quality like?

A showroom is an unforgiving place to judge furniture: colour in daylight, joinery, upholstery, scale and finish are all visible up close. That is the standard we use when selecting: the piece has to be good enough to be presented on a showroom floor, not merely cheap enough to sell.

Is there anything I should know before ordering?

Two things we'd rather you know up front, so there are no surprises on delivery:

  • Much of our inventory is surplus stock. We do not present it as anything else, but surplus is not the same as poor quality. We disclose the actual condition of each piece before sale.
  • Some pieces may be showroom samples with light handling marks. We inspect every piece before shipping and send you video of the actual goods to approve.
  • Some designs are quite distinctive and won't suit everyone. That's a matter of taste rather than quality. If you're unsure, ask us and we'll send you actual photos and details.

Is everything in stock? Can it ship immediately?

Yes — the vast majority is in stock and ready to ship right away. In the rare case our system is out of date and an item has sold, we tell you immediately and help you switch to another piece or get a refund.

What is the minimum order and how is freight calculated?

The minimum order value is $5,000 per shipment. Below that you can still order — we hold the goods and ship them together once your combined orders reach the minimum. We ship by the container, so mixing items cuts your freight cost significantly.

How does inspection before shipping work?

Can I return an item?
