Description
The Fine PL-0088 is an American-style writing desk finished in dark brown, with a rectangular parquet top and carved turned legs. The look sits in traditional American furniture territory, which is what makes it work in a study or home office that needs to stay quiet and grounded.
On construction: the body, legs and top are solid wood, built from US-imported birch. The top is framed in solid wood and then veneered in cherry, with burl and red oak veneers bringing out the grain variation across the surface. The top itself is laid in a parquet pattern, the legs are carved, and the finish is AkzoNobel lacquer.
Functionally, this is a desk that adapts. Pull-out boards on both sides slide out when you need extra working surface, and the drawer uses a drop-front front with storage space under the top for stationery and everyday paperwork.

Where does your furniture come from?
We select furniture directly from partner showrooms in Foshan, alongside surplus and end-of-season opportunities from established lines. We do not hide where the value comes from: we look for pieces that can stand up to showroom presentation, buy directly, and pass the saving on.
What's the quality like?
A showroom is an unforgiving place to judge furniture: colour in daylight, joinery, upholstery, scale and finish are all visible up close. That is the standard we use when selecting: the piece has to be good enough to be presented on a showroom floor, not merely cheap enough to sell.
Is there anything I should know before ordering?
Two things we'd rather you know up front, so there are no surprises on delivery:
- Much of our inventory is surplus stock. We do not present it as anything else, but surplus is not the same as poor quality. We disclose the actual condition of each piece before sale.
- Some pieces may be showroom samples with light handling marks. We inspect every piece before shipping and send you video of the actual goods to approve.
- Some designs are quite distinctive and won't suit everyone. That's a matter of taste rather than quality. If you're unsure, ask us and we'll send you actual photos and details.
Is everything in stock? Can it ship immediately?
Yes — the vast majority is in stock and ready to ship right away. In the rare case our system is out of date and an item has sold, we tell you immediately and help you switch to another piece or get a refund.
What is the minimum order and how is freight calculated?
The minimum order value is $5,000 per shipment. Below that you can still order — we hold the goods and ship them together once your combined orders reach the minimum. We ship by the container, so mixing items cuts your freight cost significantly.
