The English Earl office chair draws on traditional American wingback seating: a tall back that folds inward at the shoulders, diamond tufting, nailhead trim and a deep brown leather finish. The frame and legs are solid imported beech, hand-carved by craftsmen, and the seat, back and arms are wrapped in imported top-grain oil-wax leather. A swivel base lets you turn to a shelf without leaving the chair.
Description
The English Earl chair follows the older American library tradition: a wingback that folds inward at the shoulders, diamond tufting, nailhead trim and a deep brown leather surface. It reads as a chair for the person whose desk it sits at, not a light task chair.
The frame and legs are solid imported beech, shaped and detailed by hand carving, so the grain and the carved edges carry the weight of the piece against the dark leather. Seat, back and arms are fully upholstered in imported top-grain oil-wax leather, which has a low, natural sheen. The base swivels, so you can turn to a bookshelf or file cabinet without standing up.
It fits a study, a home office or a private workroom. The dark brown wood and leather sit easily alongside solid wood desks and bookcases. The chair comes from a furniture maker that has operated in Shenzhen for thirty years, and ships in its original factory packaging with tags.

Where does your furniture come from?
We select furniture directly from partner showrooms in Foshan, alongside surplus and end-of-season opportunities from established lines. We do not hide where the value comes from: we look for pieces that can stand up to showroom presentation, buy directly, and pass the saving on.
What's the quality like?
A showroom is an unforgiving place to judge furniture: colour in daylight, joinery, upholstery, scale and finish are all visible up close. That is the standard we use when selecting: the piece has to be good enough to be presented on a showroom floor, not merely cheap enough to sell.
Is there anything I should know before ordering?
Two things we'd rather you know up front, so there are no surprises on delivery:
- Much of our inventory is surplus stock. We do not present it as anything else, but surplus is not the same as poor quality. We disclose the actual condition of each piece before sale.
- Some pieces may be showroom samples with light handling marks. We inspect every piece before shipping and send you video of the actual goods to approve.
- Some designs are quite distinctive and won't suit everyone. That's a matter of taste rather than quality. If you're unsure, ask us and we'll send you actual photos and details.
Is everything in stock? Can it ship immediately?
Yes — the vast majority is in stock and ready to ship right away. In the rare case our system is out of date and an item has sold, we tell you immediately and help you switch to another piece or get a refund.
What is the minimum order and how is freight calculated?
The minimum order value is $5,000 per shipment. Below that you can still order — we hold the goods and ship them together once your combined orders reach the minimum. We ship by the container, so mixing items cuts your freight cost significantly.
