- D199-70 — one cabinet that works as a dining sideboard or an entryway console
- Solid wood case, frame and legs — not a veneered panel construction
- Hand-distressed finish with uneven tone and exposed grain, a deliberate part of the look
- Rectangular freestanding form that sits flat against a wall in a dining room or entry
- Legs ship detached, so the carton is more compact and easier to move through doorways
- No upholstery — a clean, hard-surface wooden piece that pairs with wood dining tables and leather or fabric seating
The D199-70 is a solid wood sideboard that doubles as a console in the entryway. The case, frame and legs are all solid wood, finished with a distressed American-style treatment that leaves the grain and tonal variation visible. Rectangular and freestanding, it simply sits against a wall; legs ship detached for easier handling.
Description
The D199-70 is a sideboard built in the American vintage vein, and it works just as well at the front of the house as a console. The color runs to a deeper brown, and the distressed finish keeps the tone uneven from panel to panel, so it settles in beside a natural wood dining table or a dark leather sofa without looking brand new.
The case, frame and legs are all solid wood rather than a veneered panel build. The distressing leaves darker and lighter marks along the edges and around the grain — that is how this finish is meant to look, and it means no two pieces read exactly the same.
Structurally it is a rectangular freestanding cabinet with no upholstery, and the legs carry through the heavier proportions typical of American case goods. The legs ship detached, which keeps the carton smaller and makes the piece easier to get through a narrow entry, stairwell or elevator.
In the dining room it holds serveware, glassware and the everyday clutter that accumulates around a table. In the entry it takes keys, bags and the odds and ends that land by the door. A good fit for anyone who wants the natural character of wood rather than a high-gloss, factory-new look.

Frequently asked questions
Where does your furniture come from?
We select furniture directly from partner showrooms in Foshan, alongside surplus and end-of-season opportunities from established lines. We do not hide where the value comes from: we look for pieces that can stand up to showroom presentation, buy directly, and pass the saving on.
What's the quality like?
A showroom is an unforgiving place to judge furniture: colour in daylight, joinery, upholstery, scale and finish are all visible up close. That is the standard we use when selecting: the piece has to be good enough to be presented on a showroom floor, not merely cheap enough to sell.
Is there anything I should know before ordering?
Two things we'd rather you know up front, so there are no surprises on delivery:
- Much of our inventory is surplus stock. We do not present it as anything else, but surplus is not the same as poor quality. We disclose the actual condition of each piece before sale.
- Some pieces may be showroom samples with light handling marks. We inspect every piece before shipping and send you video of the actual goods to approve.
- Some designs are quite distinctive and won't suit everyone. That's a matter of taste rather than quality. If you're unsure, ask us and we'll send you actual photos and details.
Is everything in stock? Can it ship immediately?
Yes — the vast majority is in stock and ready to ship right away. In the rare case our system is out of date and an item has sold, we tell you immediately and help you switch to another piece or get a refund.
What is the minimum order and how is freight calculated?
The minimum order value is $5,000 per shipment. Below that you can still order — we hold the goods and ship them together once your combined orders reach the minimum. We ship by the container, so mixing items cuts your freight cost significantly.
How does inspection before shipping work?
Every piece is inspected on video before it leaves the warehouse, and we send you the footage to approve — only after you confirm do we load the container. We check appearance, structure, hardware and that all parts are present.
Can I return an item?
All sales are final for subjective reasons (change of mind, wrong size, colour variance, how it looks in place) — these are direct-showroom goods priced accordingly. If something arrives damaged, tell us within 14 days with photos or video and we refund the damaged portion; we will not ask you to ship furniture back. Flaws already shown in the pre-shipment video and approved by you are not covered.
