Description
The H17009/H322 ottoman from DAaZ is built in the quiet spirit of wabi-sabi: a low rectangular profile, unadorned panels and simple legs, so it sits lightly in a living room rather than competing with the sofa and coffee table.
The frame and all four legs are solid North American ash — no veneer, no composite panels. Grain direction and natural variance in tone are left visible as they come from the wood. Surfaces are coated in a water-based finish and hand-sanded, which leaves the texture of the timber intact and the touch smooth. The top is upholstered in linen, a woven matte fabric that keeps the seat from feeling cold.
How you use it is straightforward: set it in front of the sofa as a footrest, place it at the entryway as a bench for putting on shoes, or move it to a window as occasional seating. It fits naturally into Japandi, wabi-sabi and pared-back interiors, and works well alongside cotton, linen, rattan and flat-weave rugs.

Where does your furniture come from?
We select furniture directly from partner showrooms in Foshan, alongside surplus and end-of-season opportunities from established lines. We do not hide where the value comes from: we look for pieces that can stand up to showroom presentation, buy directly, and pass the saving on.
What's the quality like?
A showroom is an unforgiving place to judge furniture: colour in daylight, joinery, upholstery, scale and finish are all visible up close. That is the standard we use when selecting: the piece has to be good enough to be presented on a showroom floor, not merely cheap enough to sell.
Is there anything I should know before ordering?
Two things we'd rather you know up front, so there are no surprises on delivery:
- Much of our inventory is surplus stock. We do not present it as anything else, but surplus is not the same as poor quality. We disclose the actual condition of each piece before sale.
- Some pieces may be showroom samples with light handling marks. We inspect every piece before shipping and send you video of the actual goods to approve.
- Some designs are quite distinctive and won't suit everyone. That's a matter of taste rather than quality. If you're unsure, ask us and we'll send you actual photos and details.
Is everything in stock? Can it ship immediately?
Yes — the vast majority is in stock and ready to ship right away. In the rare case our system is out of date and an item has sold, we tell you immediately and help you switch to another piece or get a refund.
What is the minimum order and how is freight calculated?
The minimum order value is $5,000 per shipment. Below that you can still order — we hold the goods and ship them together once your combined orders reach the minimum. We ship by the container, so mixing items cuts your freight cost significantly.
