A blue-and-white porcelain box in the Chinese scholar's-object tradition. The rim is thick solid copper, engraved by hand; the body is 1300°C-fired ceramic with an ice-crackle glaze and a blue-and-white motif painted entirely by hand. Description
This box follows the Chinese blue-and-white idiom, where a quiet cobalt palette meets the warmth of metal and the coolness of glazed ceramic in a single object. It reads less as a piece of furniture than as a small object for a desk — at home on its own or alongside writing tools, incense ware and tea utensils.
The body is ceramic fired at 1300°C, finished with an ice-crackle glaze whose lines continue to develop after the kiln, so the pattern differs from piece to piece. The blue-and-white motif above it is painted entirely by hand, with fine brushwork and deliberate shifts in density. Around the rim, thick solid copper is engraved by hand, leaving an uneven surface and traces of the tool.
The rectangular form is freestanding, so it can be set down and used as it is. Place it on a desk, a display shelf, an entryway console or a dressing table to hold seals, jewelry, incense tools, tea scoops and other small items — or simply let it stand as an object in the room.

- We will not ask you to ship the furniture back — return freight on large items usually costs more than the piece itself.

Frequently asked questions
Where does your furniture come from?
We select furniture directly from partner showrooms in Foshan, alongside surplus and end-of-season opportunities from established lines. We do not hide where the value comes from: we look for pieces that can stand up to showroom presentation, buy directly, and pass the saving on.
What's the quality like?
A showroom is an unforgiving place to judge furniture: colour in daylight, joinery, upholstery, scale and finish are all visible up close. That is the standard we use when selecting: the piece has to be good enough to be presented on a showroom floor, not merely cheap enough to sell.
Is there anything I should know before ordering?
Two things we'd rather you know up front, so there are no surprises on delivery:
- Much of our inventory is surplus stock. We do not present it as anything else, but surplus is not the same as poor quality. We disclose the actual condition of each piece before sale.
- Some pieces may be showroom samples with light handling marks. We inspect every piece before shipping and send you video of the actual goods to approve.
- Some designs are quite distinctive and won't suit everyone. That's a matter of taste rather than quality. If you're unsure, ask us and we'll send you actual photos and details.
Is everything in stock? Can it ship immediately?
Yes — the vast majority is in stock and ready to ship right away. In the rare case our system is out of date and an item has sold, we tell you immediately and help you switch to another piece or get a refund.
What is the minimum order and how is freight calculated?
The minimum order value is $5,000 per shipment. Below that you can still order — we hold the goods and ship them together once your combined orders reach the minimum. We ship by the container, so mixing items cuts your freight cost significantly.
