A French-style desk in solid mahogany that doubles as a vanity, finished with hand-applied gold foil, hand-painted detailing and panels of imported oiled-wax leather, all set on cabriole legs.
Description
A French-style desk that also serves as a vanity. Gold foil is applied by hand along the apron and corners, kept restrained so it reads as depth rather than shine; the painted decoration is done by hand on each piece, so brushwork and tonal depth vary slightly from one to the next.
The body is solid mahogany, warm brown with straight, legible grain that holds its own against the gilding and paint. Panels of imported oiled-wax leather add a softer, matte surface that sits comfortably beside the wood. Four cabriole legs taper and curve, keeping the piece from feeling heavy in a study or bedroom.
Clear the top and it is a desk; leave it dressed and it is a place to sit for a morning routine. At home in French, vintage and mixed interiors alike.

- If something arrives damaged, tell us within 14 days of delivery with photos or video, and we will refund the damaged portion.
- We will not ask you to ship the furniture back — return freight on large items usually costs more than the piece itself.
- Flaws already shown in the pre-shipment video and approved by you are not covered.

Frequently asked questions
Where does your furniture come from?
We select furniture directly from partner showrooms in Foshan, alongside surplus and end-of-season opportunities from established lines. We do not hide where the value comes from: we look for pieces that can stand up to showroom presentation, buy directly, and pass the saving on.
What's the quality like?
A showroom is an unforgiving place to judge furniture: colour in daylight, joinery, upholstery, scale and finish are all visible up close. That is the standard we use when selecting: the piece has to be good enough to be presented on a showroom floor, not merely cheap enough to sell.
Is there anything I should know before ordering?
Two things we'd rather you know up front, so there are no surprises on delivery:
- Much of our inventory is surplus stock. We do not present it as anything else, but surplus is not the same as poor quality. We disclose the actual condition of each piece before sale.
- Some pieces may be showroom samples with light handling marks. We inspect every piece before shipping and send you video of the actual goods to approve.
- Some designs are quite distinctive and won't suit everyone. That's a matter of taste rather than quality. If you're unsure, ask us and we'll send you actual photos and details.
Is everything in stock? Can it ship immediately?
Yes — the vast majority is in stock and ready to ship right away. In the rare case our system is out of date and an item has sold, we tell you immediately and help you switch to another piece or get a refund.
What is the minimum order and how is freight calculated?
The minimum order value is $5,000 per shipment. Below that you can still order — we hold the goods and ship them together once your combined orders reach the minimum. We ship by the container, so mixing items cuts your freight cost significantly.
How does inspection before shipping work?
Every piece is inspected on video before it leaves the warehouse, and we send you the footage to approve — only after you confirm do we load the container. We check appearance, structure, hardware and that all parts are present.
