The 936R2 from China Concept's Hongmu Series is a solid rosewood armchair in a new Chinese style. Its clean slab surfaces, square silhouette, arms and open slat back suit a living room, tea room or study, and the frame, legs, seat and back are all solid wood.
Description
The 936R2 is a new Chinese style armchair from the China Concept Hongmu Series. Its proportions are rooted in traditional Chinese seating — a square body, integrated arms and an open slat back — but the carving has been stripped away entirely, leaving flat, unadorned surfaces. The result reads quieter than most Chinese furniture and settles easily into a contemporary room.
The chair is built entirely in solid wood. The primary material is hongmu rosewood, one of the 33 recognized hongmu species, and the frame, legs, seat and back are all solid wood, joined with traditional mortise-and-tenon construction. A lacquered finish completes the surface. There is no upholstery, so both the look and the sit are purely wooden.
As a single-seat lounge chair it works on its own in a living room, beside a tea table, or in a study next to a desk. The square footprint and solid wood construction keep it steady in daily use.

- If something arrives damaged, tell us within 14 days of delivery with photos or video, and we will refund the damaged portion.
- We will not ask you to ship the furniture back — return freight on large items usually costs more than the piece itself.
- Flaws already shown in the pre-shipment video and approved by you are not covered.

Where does your furniture come from?
We select furniture directly from partner showrooms in Foshan, alongside surplus and end-of-season opportunities from established lines. We do not hide where the value comes from: we look for pieces that can stand up to showroom presentation, buy directly, and pass the saving on.
What's the quality like?
A showroom is an unforgiving place to judge furniture: colour in daylight, joinery, upholstery, scale and finish are all visible up close. That is the standard we use when selecting: the piece has to be good enough to be presented on a showroom floor, not merely cheap enough to sell.
Is there anything I should know before ordering?
Two things we'd rather you know up front, so there are no surprises on delivery:
- Much of our inventory is surplus stock. We do not present it as anything else, but surplus is not the same as poor quality. We disclose the actual condition of each piece before sale.
- Some pieces may be showroom samples with light handling marks. We inspect every piece before shipping and send you video of the actual goods to approve.
- Some designs are quite distinctive and won't suit everyone. That's a matter of taste rather than quality. If you're unsure, ask us and we'll send you actual photos and details.
Is everything in stock? Can it ship immediately?
Yes — the vast majority is in stock and ready to ship right away. In the rare case our system is out of date and an item has sold, we tell you immediately and help you switch to another piece or get a refund.
What is the minimum order and how is freight calculated?
The minimum order value is $5,000 per shipment. Below that you can still order — we hold the goods and ship them together once your combined orders reach the minimum. We ship by the container, so mixing items cuts your freight cost significantly.
