A solid wood coffee table in a restrained new Chinese style. Traditional mortise-and-tenon joinery, steam-treated and scientifically dried timber, metal legs with custom hardware, and a leather-upholstered top in a warm brown tone.
Description
New Chinese design works best when it holds back. The 502L1 keeps a plain rectangular top, four straight legs and very little else — a low table that settles in front of a sofa without competing with the rest of the room, and reads just as well in a tea corner or study.
The table is made entirely of solid wood, and it feels it when you move it. The frame is put together with traditional mortise-and-tenon joinery, with wooden members locking into one another rather than relying on fasteners alone. Before assembly, the timber goes through steam treatment and controlled drying.
The legs are metal and fitted with custom hardware, so the warmth of the wood is balanced by something a little sharper. The top is upholstered in leather — comfortable under a forearm, and quieter than a hard surface when a cup or a book comes down. The brown tone is deep and forgiving, and works alongside walnut, oak and other natural finishes.
A reasonable choice if you care about material honesty more than decoration.

Frequently asked questions
Where does your furniture come from?
We select furniture directly from partner showrooms in Foshan, alongside surplus and end-of-season opportunities from established lines. We do not hide where the value comes from: we look for pieces that can stand up to showroom presentation, buy directly, and pass the saving on.
What's the quality like?
A showroom is an unforgiving place to judge furniture: colour in daylight, joinery, upholstery, scale and finish are all visible up close. That is the standard we use when selecting: the piece has to be good enough to be presented on a showroom floor, not merely cheap enough to sell.
Is there anything I should know before ordering?
Two things we'd rather you know up front, so there are no surprises on delivery:
- Much of our inventory is surplus stock. We do not present it as anything else, but surplus is not the same as poor quality. We disclose the actual condition of each piece before sale.
- Some pieces may be showroom samples with light handling marks. We inspect every piece before shipping and send you video of the actual goods to approve.
- Some designs are quite distinctive and won't suit everyone. That's a matter of taste rather than quality. If you're unsure, ask us and we'll send you actual photos and details.
Is everything in stock? Can it ship immediately?
Yes — the vast majority is in stock and ready to ship right away. In the rare case our system is out of date and an item has sold, we tell you immediately and help you switch to another piece or get a refund.
What is the minimum order and how is freight calculated?
The minimum order value is $5,000 per shipment. Below that you can still order — we hold the goods and ship them together once your combined orders reach the minimum. We ship by the container, so mixing items cuts your freight cost significantly.
How does inspection before shipping work?
Every piece is inspected on video before it leaves the warehouse, and we send you the footage to approve — only after you confirm do we load the container. We check appearance, structure, hardware and that all parts are present.
Can I return an item?
All sales are final for subjective reasons (change of mind, wrong size, colour variance, how it looks in place) — these are direct-showroom goods priced accordingly. If something arrives damaged, tell us within 14 days with photos or video and we refund the damaged portion; we will not ask you to ship furniture back. Flaws already shown in the pre-shipment video and approved by you are not covered.
