The Lantingyuan coffee table from Baoliju is made for the modern Chinese living room. Solid teak forms the top, frame, legs and base, joined with traditional mortise-and-tenon construction, with glass accents set into the surface. Rectangular and low in profile, it anchors a seating group without crowding it.
Description
The Lantingyuan coffee table is Baoliju's take on the long, low table at the centre of a new Chinese living room. Solid teak carries the design — top, frame, legs and base — with glass accents worked into the surface so the warmth of the grain and the clarity of glass play against each other. The result reads traditional in proportion and contemporary in feel.
Teak belongs to the same family of prized hardwoods as rosewood and is naturally high in oil, so the surface grows smoother and more lustrous the longer it is lived with; the same wood is used for Bentley interiors. The table is built primarily with traditional mortise-and-tenon joinery and left deliberately restrained in line.
The rectangular top gives everyday objects room to breathe — tea service, books, a vase of branches — and the new Chinese form pairs comfortably with solid wood case goods, fabric sofas and Chinese-inspired soft furnishings. Designed by a noted designer and endorsed by Hong Kong actor Ray Lui.

Where does your furniture come from?
We select furniture directly from partner showrooms in Foshan, alongside surplus and end-of-season opportunities from established lines. We do not hide where the value comes from: we look for pieces that can stand up to showroom presentation, buy directly, and pass the saving on.
What's the quality like?
A showroom is an unforgiving place to judge furniture: colour in daylight, joinery, upholstery, scale and finish are all visible up close. That is the standard we use when selecting: the piece has to be good enough to be presented on a showroom floor, not merely cheap enough to sell.
Is there anything I should know before ordering?
Two things we'd rather you know up front, so there are no surprises on delivery:
- Much of our inventory is surplus stock. We do not present it as anything else, but surplus is not the same as poor quality. We disclose the actual condition of each piece before sale.
- Some pieces may be showroom samples with light handling marks. We inspect every piece before shipping and send you video of the actual goods to approve.
- Some designs are quite distinctive and won't suit everyone. That's a matter of taste rather than quality. If you're unsure, ask us and we'll send you actual photos and details.
Is everything in stock? Can it ship immediately?
Yes — the vast majority is in stock and ready to ship right away. In the rare case our system is out of date and an item has sold, we tell you immediately and help you switch to another piece or get a refund.
What is the minimum order and how is freight calculated?
The minimum order value is $5,000 per shipment. Below that you can still order — we hold the goods and ship them together once your combined orders reach the minimum. We ship by the container, so mixing items cuts your freight cost significantly.
