A solid mahogany side table from Bally William, built entirely from solid wood with hand-carved cabriole legs, modern brass hardware and a distressed antique finish in deep brown. Sized for the end of a sofa or beside an armchair.

Description

The A2004 side table follows the grammar of English antique furniture: a clean rectangular top, four cabriole legs that flare out and draw back in, and modern brass hardware that keeps the period silhouette from feeling dated. The distressed finish leaves the wood matte and deep brown rather than glossy, so it sits comfortably beside leather sofas, dark wood floors or older brick walls.

The top, legs and base are all solid mahogany hardwood — Indonesian mahogany, in a 100% solid wood build with no veneer. The carving is done by hand, so the mouldings and the turn of each leg carry slight variations. The product number A2004 is etched on the back of each piece, the brand's own way of marking individual items. This is an imported, discontinued model, so availability is limited.

At side-table scale it's easy to place: next to a sofa arm for a cup and a book, beside a reading chair, or as a small bedside surface. It works as a standalone piece rather than part of a matched set.

Frequently asked questions

Where does your furniture come from?

We select furniture directly from partner showrooms in Foshan, alongside surplus and end-of-season opportunities from established lines. We do not hide where the value comes from: we look for pieces that can stand up to showroom presentation, buy directly, and pass the saving on.

What's the quality like?

A showroom is an unforgiving place to judge furniture: colour in daylight, joinery, upholstery, scale and finish are all visible up close. That is the standard we use when selecting: the piece has to be good enough to be presented on a showroom floor, not merely cheap enough to sell.

Is there anything I should know before ordering?

Two things we'd rather you know up front, so there are no surprises on delivery:

  • Much of our inventory is surplus stock. We do not present it as anything else, but surplus is not the same as poor quality. We disclose the actual condition of each piece before sale.
  • Some pieces may be showroom samples with light handling marks. We inspect every piece before shipping and send you video of the actual goods to approve.
  • Some designs are quite distinctive and won't suit everyone. That's a matter of taste rather than quality. If you're unsure, ask us and we'll send you actual photos and details.

Is everything in stock? Can it ship immediately?

Yes — the vast majority is in stock and ready to ship right away. In the rare case our system is out of date and an item has sold, we tell you immediately and help you switch to another piece or get a refund.

What is the minimum order and how is freight calculated?

The minimum order value is $5,000 per shipment. Below that you can still order — we hold the goods and ship them together once your combined orders reach the minimum. We ship by the container, so mixing items cuts your freight cost significantly.

How does inspection before shipping work?

Every piece is inspected on video before it leaves the warehouse, and we send you the footage to approve — only after you confirm do we load the container. We check appearance, structure, hardware and that all parts are present.

Can I return an item?
