An imported Bally William bookcase and display shelf in the antique furniture tradition. Built entirely from solid Indonesian mahogany hardwood, with hand-carved detailing, brass hardware and a distressed finish. Adjustable shelves and an open front keep books and objects within easy reach.
Description
Bally William is a British furniture house, and this A2004 shelf bookcase follows its antique-furniture direction. The distressed surface, hand-carved detailing and brass hardware read like a piece that has been in the house for years rather than a new storage unit. The rectangular, freestanding frame stands on its own against a wall without anchors.
The case is built entirely from solid wood, using Indonesian mahogany hardwood with a deep tone and open grain. Because the carving, the brass fittings and the antiqued finish are all done by hand, no two pieces are exactly alike. The front is open shelving with no doors, so books and objects stay visible from across the room. Each piece is marked on the back with an etched product number.
Shelf heights are adjustable, so you can set the spacing around tall books, art or objects and split the unit between storage and display. It works beside a sofa in the living room, along a study wall as a bookcase, or in an entryway as a display stand.

- If something arrives damaged, tell us within 14 days of delivery with photos or video, and we will refund the damaged portion.
- We will not ask you to ship the furniture back — return freight on large items usually costs more than the piece itself.
- Flaws already shown in the pre-shipment video and approved by you are not covered.

Where does your furniture come from?
We select furniture directly from partner showrooms in Foshan, alongside surplus and end-of-season opportunities from established lines. We do not hide where the value comes from: we look for pieces that can stand up to showroom presentation, buy directly, and pass the saving on.
What's the quality like?
A showroom is an unforgiving place to judge furniture: colour in daylight, joinery, upholstery, scale and finish are all visible up close. That is the standard we use when selecting: the piece has to be good enough to be presented on a showroom floor, not merely cheap enough to sell.
Is there anything I should know before ordering?
Two things we'd rather you know up front, so there are no surprises on delivery:
- Much of our inventory is surplus stock. We do not present it as anything else, but surplus is not the same as poor quality. We disclose the actual condition of each piece before sale.
- Some pieces may be showroom samples with light handling marks. We inspect every piece before shipping and send you video of the actual goods to approve.
- Some designs are quite distinctive and won't suit everyone. That's a matter of taste rather than quality. If you're unsure, ask us and we'll send you actual photos and details.
Is everything in stock? Can it ship immediately?
Yes — the vast majority is in stock and ready to ship right away. In the rare case our system is out of date and an item has sold, we tell you immediately and help you switch to another piece or get a refund.
What is the minimum order and how is freight calculated?
The minimum order value is $5,000 per shipment. Below that you can still order — we hold the goods and ship them together once your combined orders reach the minimum. We ship by the container, so mixing items cuts your freight cost significantly.
