An imported, discontinued chest from the Bally William 1837 antique collection. Built entirely from Indonesian mahogany hardwood with hand-carved detailing, brass hardware and leather panels, finished in a distressed deep reddish brown. Drawer storage for the bedroom, dressing room or entryway.
Description
The A2004 chest belongs to the Bally William 1837 antique collection, produced under the British house the Britain Antique furniture and imported as a discontinued piece. It follows the proportions and palette of classic English case furniture rather than a modern reinterpretation.
The case is built entirely from solid wood, with Indonesian mahogany hardwood as the primary material — a close, even grain and a deep, quiet tone. The front is hand-carved and paired with brass hardware and leather panels, then given a distressed finish so the deep reddish brown reads as aged rather than new. Each piece carries its product number etched on the back.
The freestanding rectangular form holds drawer storage, so it works as a dresser in the bedroom, a storage chest in a dressing room, or a display and catch-all piece in an entryway or hallway. The combination of wood, leather and brass asks something of the room around it; it sits most naturally in vintage, English or mixed interiors.

- We will not ask you to ship the furniture back — return freight on large items usually costs more than the piece itself.
- Flaws already shown in the pre-shipment video and approved by you are not covered.

Where does your furniture come from?
We select furniture directly from partner showrooms in Foshan, alongside surplus and end-of-season opportunities from established lines. We do not hide where the value comes from: we look for pieces that can stand up to showroom presentation, buy directly, and pass the saving on.
What's the quality like?
A showroom is an unforgiving place to judge furniture: colour in daylight, joinery, upholstery, scale and finish are all visible up close. That is the standard we use when selecting: the piece has to be good enough to be presented on a showroom floor, not merely cheap enough to sell.
Is there anything I should know before ordering?
Two things we'd rather you know up front, so there are no surprises on delivery:
- Much of our inventory is surplus stock. We do not present it as anything else, but surplus is not the same as poor quality. We disclose the actual condition of each piece before sale.
- Some pieces may be showroom samples with light handling marks. We inspect every piece before shipping and send you video of the actual goods to approve.
- Some designs are quite distinctive and won't suit everyone. That's a matter of taste rather than quality. If you're unsure, ask us and we'll send you actual photos and details.
Is everything in stock? Can it ship immediately?
Yes — the vast majority is in stock and ready to ship right away. In the rare case our system is out of date and an item has sold, we tell you immediately and help you switch to another piece or get a refund.
What is the minimum order and how is freight calculated?
The minimum order value is $5,000 per shipment. Below that you can still order — we hold the goods and ship them together once your combined orders reach the minimum. We ship by the container, so mixing items cuts your freight cost significantly.
