Description
A hand-carved solid wood birdcage sculpture from Bally William, and a rare example of large-scale wood decor. The look is firmly vintage: deep brown tone, a distressed finish, and brass fittings. The wood-and-metal contrast is what lets it hold a room without competing with it.
The body is made from Indonesian mahogany, solid wood throughout, with a solid wood frame and legs. The cage form and its details are carved by hand, so no two pieces share exactly the same tool marks or wear pattern — that is the difference between a hand-carved object and a production piece. Each one carries an etched product number on the back, matching model A2004.
It works best as a floor-standing display piece. Set it in an entryway, a corner of the living room, or a study, where it carries more presence than wall art and reads better over time than a small accessory. The brown-and-brass palette settles easily into traditional, vintage, or dark-wood interiors; in a light, modern room, it becomes the deliberate contrast piece.

Frequently asked questions
Where does your furniture come from?
We select furniture directly from partner showrooms in Foshan, alongside surplus and end-of-season opportunities from established lines. We do not hide where the value comes from: we look for pieces that can stand up to showroom presentation, buy directly, and pass the saving on.
What's the quality like?
A showroom is an unforgiving place to judge furniture: colour in daylight, joinery, upholstery, scale and finish are all visible up close. That is the standard we use when selecting: the piece has to be good enough to be presented on a showroom floor, not merely cheap enough to sell.
Is there anything I should know before ordering?
Two things we'd rather you know up front, so there are no surprises on delivery:
- Much of our inventory is surplus stock. We do not present it as anything else, but surplus is not the same as poor quality. We disclose the actual condition of each piece before sale.
- Some pieces may be showroom samples with light handling marks. We inspect every piece before shipping and send you video of the actual goods to approve.
- Some designs are quite distinctive and won't suit everyone. That's a matter of taste rather than quality. If you're unsure, ask us and we'll send you actual photos and details.
Is everything in stock? Can it ship immediately?
Yes — the vast majority is in stock and ready to ship right away. In the rare case our system is out of date and an item has sold, we tell you immediately and help you switch to another piece or get a refund.
What is the minimum order and how is freight calculated?
The minimum order value is $5,000 per shipment. Below that you can still order — we hold the goods and ship them together once your combined orders reach the minimum. We ship by the container, so mixing items cuts your freight cost significantly.
How does inspection before shipping work?
