Description
The AY LAZZARO turtle ottoman brings an American vintage sensibility to the living room, pairing an animal silhouette with leathercraft detailing. Use it beside a sofa, in a reading corner or as a footrest and occasional seat.
The surface is 100% full bison leather sourced from the western United States, processed with the lime-degreasing and tree-oil methods of the LAZZARO family leather workshop in southern Italy, established in 1836. The result is a distressed, rubbed or crackled look. Each ottoman uses an extra-thick bison hide—roughly one hide per piece—a complex leather technique rarely seen on the market.
The frame is Indonesian mahogany hardwood, finished with hand-carved marks, smoke traces, wormholes, punched holes and hand-file texture. The tag is made of copper, and the nailhead trim is hand-set copper. Filling is 55–60 kg/m³ high-density molded foam, added after compression for firm, durable support.
The irregular turtle shape adds character to a room, while the deep brown leather and wood frame suit American, vintage or eclectic living rooms.

Where does your furniture come from?
We select furniture directly from partner showrooms in Foshan, alongside surplus and end-of-season opportunities from established lines. We do not hide where the value comes from: we look for pieces that can stand up to showroom presentation, buy directly, and pass the saving on.
What's the quality like?
A showroom is an unforgiving place to judge furniture: colour in daylight, joinery, upholstery, scale and finish are all visible up close. That is the standard we use when selecting: the piece has to be good enough to be presented on a showroom floor, not merely cheap enough to sell.
Is there anything I should know before ordering?
Two things we'd rather you know up front, so there are no surprises on delivery:
- Much of our inventory is surplus stock. We do not present it as anything else, but surplus is not the same as poor quality. We disclose the actual condition of each piece before sale.
- Some pieces may be showroom samples with light handling marks. We inspect every piece before shipping and send you video of the actual goods to approve.
- Some designs are quite distinctive and won't suit everyone. That's a matter of taste rather than quality. If you're unsure, ask us and we'll send you actual photos and details.
Is everything in stock? Can it ship immediately?
Yes — the vast majority is in stock and ready to ship right away. In the rare case our system is out of date and an item has sold, we tell you immediately and help you switch to another piece or get a refund.
What is the minimum order and how is freight calculated?
The minimum order value is $5,000 per shipment. Below that you can still order — we hold the goods and ship them together once your combined orders reach the minimum. We ship by the container, so mixing items cuts your freight cost significantly.
