A Nordic sideboard built in solid North American ash, with both the case and legs in real wood. Finished with DABAD water-based lacquer that keeps the grain visible and the surface dry to the touch. Freestanding and rectangular, it gathers dishes, glassware and dining-room clutter in one place beside the table.
Description
This sideboard speaks plain Nordic: a rectangular case, flat panel fronts and restrained proportions, with nothing added that the wood couldn't say on its own. The low stance keeps it from crowding the dining table, while the top leaves enough clear surface for serving pieces, a vase or the small appliances that never quite find a home.
The case and legs are both solid North American ash. Its straight grain and cathedral figure stay legible under the light-toned finish. We used DABAD water-based lacquer and kept the film thin on purpose — you feel the ash rather than a thick, uniform coating sitting on top of it.
Storage lives inside the case, where plates, glasses, table linens and the usual dining-room scatter can be gathered up and put away, leaving the table clear. Because it is freestanding, it doesn't need to be fixed to a wall — set it against one, or let it stand as a soft divider in an open plan.
The natural wood tone sits easily with off-white, grey, rattan and linen, and pairs most predictably with dining chairs in the same family of warm neutrals.

- We will not ask you to ship the furniture back — return freight on large items usually costs more than the piece itself.

Frequently asked questions
Where does your furniture come from?
We select furniture directly from partner showrooms in Foshan, alongside surplus and end-of-season opportunities from established lines. We do not hide where the value comes from: we look for pieces that can stand up to showroom presentation, buy directly, and pass the saving on.
What's the quality like?
A showroom is an unforgiving place to judge furniture: colour in daylight, joinery, upholstery, scale and finish are all visible up close. That is the standard we use when selecting: the piece has to be good enough to be presented on a showroom floor, not merely cheap enough to sell.
Is there anything I should know before ordering?
Two things we'd rather you know up front, so there are no surprises on delivery:
- Much of our inventory is surplus stock. We do not present it as anything else, but surplus is not the same as poor quality. We disclose the actual condition of each piece before sale.
- Some pieces may be showroom samples with light handling marks. We inspect every piece before shipping and send you video of the actual goods to approve.
- Some designs are quite distinctive and won't suit everyone. That's a matter of taste rather than quality. If you're unsure, ask us and we'll send you actual photos and details.
Is everything in stock? Can it ship immediately?
Yes — the vast majority is in stock and ready to ship right away. In the rare case our system is out of date and an item has sold, we tell you immediately and help you switch to another piece or get a refund.
What is the minimum order and how is freight calculated?
The minimum order value is $5,000 per shipment. Below that you can still order — we hold the goods and ship them together once your combined orders reach the minimum. We ship by the container, so mixing items cuts your freight cost significantly.
