A Nordic sideboard built entirely in solid North American ash — case, frame and legs — with a water-based Dabao finish that keeps the grain visible. Fluted tea-glass doors let light through without showing the clutter inside. Available in natural ash or walnut.
Description
The 1957 sideboard takes a Nordic approach: a square case, straight lines and nothing decorative added on top. The character comes from the ash grain and the vertical texture of the fluted glass, so the piece sits quietly next to a dining table while absorbing the storage a dining room actually needs.
The case, frame and legs are all solid North American ash, finished with a water-based Dabao coating in a warm natural tone. Knots, grain movement and slight tonal shifts are part of the wood, not a defect. The fluted tea-glass doors read as translucent rather than transparent — you see the outline of glassware and bottles inside without the mess of a full view.
With no upholstery and a solid wood body, it works alongside wood, rattan or fabric dining chairs, holding tableware, bottles and everyday items, or acting as a transition piece between dining and living areas. Also available in walnut for darker or brighter rooms. Ships knock-down, which makes it easier to carry in and reposition; assembly is supported by the retailer.

- We will not ask you to ship the furniture back — return freight on large items usually costs more than the piece itself.

Frequently asked questions
Where does your furniture come from?
We select furniture directly from partner showrooms in Foshan, alongside surplus and end-of-season opportunities from established lines. We do not hide where the value comes from: we look for pieces that can stand up to showroom presentation, buy directly, and pass the saving on.
What's the quality like?
A showroom is an unforgiving place to judge furniture: colour in daylight, joinery, upholstery, scale and finish are all visible up close. That is the standard we use when selecting: the piece has to be good enough to be presented on a showroom floor, not merely cheap enough to sell.
Is there anything I should know before ordering?
Two things we'd rather you know up front, so there are no surprises on delivery:
- Much of our inventory is surplus stock. We do not present it as anything else, but surplus is not the same as poor quality. We disclose the actual condition of each piece before sale.
- Some pieces may be showroom samples with light handling marks. We inspect every piece before shipping and send you video of the actual goods to approve.
- Some designs are quite distinctive and won't suit everyone. That's a matter of taste rather than quality. If you're unsure, ask us and we'll send you actual photos and details.
Is everything in stock? Can it ship immediately?
Yes — the vast majority is in stock and ready to ship right away. In the rare case our system is out of date and an item has sold, we tell you immediately and help you switch to another piece or get a refund.
What is the minimum order and how is freight calculated?
The minimum order value is $5,000 per shipment. Below that you can still order — we hold the goods and ship them together once your combined orders reach the minimum. We ship by the container, so mixing items cuts your freight cost significantly.
