Description
The CY961 takes the American traditional route rather than the modern one. Its entire skeleton is solid mahogany: frame, legs and the carved back panel come from the same family of wood, so the color and the hand feel stay consistent from top to floor. The back is the part people remember. It is openwork carving, cut from solid stock, so the pattern is structural rather than applied — a pattern from the front, real depth from the side.
Upholstery is deep-brown top-grain leather on both the backrest and the seat. The leather is finished dark enough to sit alongside the warm brown of the mahogany instead of fighting it. Button tufting on the back and nailhead trim around the edges are the two details that keep a tall back from reading as a flat panel.
The armless, high-back shape is what makes it work at a table. You get full support behind you while your arms stay free, which matters for long dinners and longer work sessions. It is a fixed chair — it does not fold and does not stack — so it is best treated as a permanent seat in a dining room, study or reading corner rather than an extra pulled out for guests.

Where does your furniture come from?
We select furniture directly from partner showrooms in Foshan, alongside surplus and end-of-season opportunities from established lines. We do not hide where the value comes from: we look for pieces that can stand up to showroom presentation, buy directly, and pass the saving on.
What's the quality like?
A showroom is an unforgiving place to judge furniture: colour in daylight, joinery, upholstery, scale and finish are all visible up close. That is the standard we use when selecting: the piece has to be good enough to be presented on a showroom floor, not merely cheap enough to sell.
Is there anything I should know before ordering?
Two things we'd rather you know up front, so there are no surprises on delivery:
- Much of our inventory is surplus stock. We do not present it as anything else, but surplus is not the same as poor quality. We disclose the actual condition of each piece before sale.
- Some pieces may be showroom samples with light handling marks. We inspect every piece before shipping and send you video of the actual goods to approve.
- Some designs are quite distinctive and won't suit everyone. That's a matter of taste rather than quality. If you're unsure, ask us and we'll send you actual photos and details.
Is everything in stock? Can it ship immediately?
Yes — the vast majority is in stock and ready to ship right away. In the rare case our system is out of date and an item has sold, we tell you immediately and help you switch to another piece or get a refund.
What is the minimum order and how is freight calculated?
The minimum order value is $5,000 per shipment. Below that you can still order — we hold the goods and ship them together once your combined orders reach the minimum. We ship by the container, so mixing items cuts your freight cost significantly.
